Well it's been another long time since I've blogged and the big presidential election is over and my man John Kerry suffered a devastating defeat that millions of democrats, and I suspect some republicans, suffered along with him.

It was a tough, up-hill campaign for Senator Kerry and I couldn't be prouder of how he fought, although I think he should have started fighting much earlier, to make up ground on a very popular president. It was a close decision even though he lost by a few million votes he still managed a very impressive 57+ million votes.

I tell you, it is not easy being a "liberal" in Texas...or anywhere for that matter since the term "liberal" itself has become a bad word. The many conservative talk show hosts, with the help of the far left-wing whackos, have made being "liberal" a unpatriotic, unmoral thing to be.
Which can't be further from the truth for most liberals that I know.

Conservatives cannot see how one can be against the war in Iraq yet support our troops.
They cannot see how you can have religious beliefs yet not want the Ten Commandments in our federal and state building. They cannot see how one can be against abortion yet support a woman's right to choose. The answers to their questions are as clear as the nose on their faces if they'd only allow themselves to see outside the circle they've enclosed themselves in.

They say that the Democratic party is a endangered species but I disagree. I think far left-wing liberals are the endangered species and the party will only become stronger.
