It is so quiet here at work that you could hear a mouse fart. Why we aren't closed is beyond me but I guess there has to be somebody here to man the fort.
Christmas is over and the clean up began this morning as I put the trash out on the curb for the poor bastards who have to work today. Now we wait until next weeks' New Years eve bash.

Will we party like it's 2004? Probably not, I'll be crashed out before the clock strikes midnight.
I haven't celebrated new year's eve the past few years and this year will probably be no different. I guess I'm beginning to show my age because I used to love to hit the streets and party and get crazy with people I don't even know, but that just doesn't appeal to me any more.
Staying at home with the wife and kids suits me now and I have no complaints.

Christmas Eve... The shopping is done, well almost, I'd still like to pick up something for my wife but that may not be possible.

The tree, a tatered artificial one, is seeing it's last Christmas and will be retired after this Holiday season. But what matters most to our children is the what is under the tree. No "had to have" items are under there this year, not that there ever are, but there are plenty for them to open.

The traditional, well my tradition, Christmas tunes will be playing as soon as I wake up to set the mood for the opening of the gifts. A nice big breakfast will be cooking as the kids crawl out of bed and get ready to tear into the presents. Hot chocolate and pan dulce will also be consumed during the day. It is one of my favorite days of the year.

I'll be wrapping the last of the gifts this evening as I consume a few adult beverages. I'm really looking forward to tomorrow. Family, friends, food, drinks, laughs...should be a great day!
