Well the new year has started and I hope to make it a very good year. Plan to lose some weight, take the wife on a cruise for our wedding anniversary and have a great vacation with the family.
It is also election year so I have been studying the democratic candidates and so far I like Senator John Edwards' message and platform.
Howard Dean doesn't seem to be able to "nail down" his platform and his message is not clear to me. Senator John Kerry was my favorite but I have not heard or read enough about his views so that is why I'm leaning towards Edwards. Joe Lieberman is a strong candidate but, and I know it shouldn't matter, his charisma and tone is boring and that hurts him.
Defeating George W. Bush will be a very hard task indeed. I feel that too many Americans have fallen for Dubya's message while not really paying attention to his actions, which I feel show his true intentions. Dubya has spent more money during his current term than I thought a republican run congress would allow. The growing deficit is going to have some serious consequences down the road.
You can always make the economy look good but the bill has to be paid sometime.
